When You Can’t Help Everyone

**Deep breath.** I did something really scary.

Usually, when I speak, I share an uplifting message, and this talk is no exception.

But usually, I wear a mask — a mask of can-do professionalism and positivity, a mask that hides the fear and shame and guilt and negativity and failure that every human being deals with at some point in their lives.

In my TEDx talk, “When You Can’t Help Everyone”, I decided to share a side of myself that I usually keep secret and hidden away from even my closest friends and family.

If you’ve heard me speak before, this talk is going to be a little bit different.

This is me taking off the mask.

***Trigger warning: Self harm.***

Love you all, and thanks for watching.
