“It always seems impossible until it’s done.”
— Nelson Mandela
This is one of the truest phrases ever spoken.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten myself deep into a creative project (like, say, an audio drama) only to begin focusing on how IMPOSSIBLE it seemed.
The finish line was uncertain (or worse, invisible), and it felt like torture to slog onward to even the next step.
Besides, who was I to have attempted such a feat?
Anyone who has ever finished a project has done the impossible — including you. If you’ve written a difficult paper, run a race, given birth to a child, graduated from high school… you’ve done something that has at one point felt impossible.
And you can do it again.
In the meantime, find the support you need to keep going. Talk to fellow creators, journal what you’re feeling and going through, and connect with your audience.
You’ve got this.
Words & warmth,
Sarah
