“Claim your space. Draw a circle of light around it. Push back against the dark. Don’t just survive. Celebrate.”
— Charles Frazier
I know the world is a dark place right now. Or, if it was dark for you before, it may seem even darker now. Impossibly so.
But the things we create are powerful and meaningful.
Whether you’re producing a podcast, writing a novel, baking bread for your family and friends, or calling someone to check in, the things you create are what keep us moving forward as humans.
This is how we stake our claim in the world, how we make our mark. This is how we shine our light.
As a writer, podcaster, photographer, baker, singer, dancer, painter, teacher, parent, etc., you have a platform and a powerful instrument — your voice.
What message are you sharing with your audience? What kind of light are you shining into their lives?
The world needs you, your story, your message, and your vision more than ever right now.
Not everything we make has to be glowing with positivity and cheerfulness, but the light we shine is how many, many others see.
Keep this in mind as you create, survive, and (hopefully) celebrate. 💕
Shine your light.
Words & warmth,
Sarah
